it would be very benificial for all those who operate their jeti-TXs so to say "off-road" from any 220 VAC resource to have a charging device and/or an adapter to charge the dc16 out of a car`s 12volt recepticale / cigarette lighter. even so it might be easy to configure a simple cable whith components from the market this will not keep away the tension peaks during start-up of the car (which could happen accidentially) and may be harmful to the dc16`s internals.jeti could be helpful in releasing such a device, which should work from about 10 volt up to max 15 volt giving a protected, constant 10-12 volt / 500-800 mAh output .best regards tom

Hi Tom!

You can use any USB charger for cigarette lighter!

Best regards, Sabine

hi sabine ,thanks for your kind advise (which i tested already and found it a bit slow on charging),but are you sure , that a standard USB /12v charger (even one with a bit higher output than mine regarding mAmps) could cope with the tension peaks / high voltage transients which WILL occure during start-up of the car ? i`m not so quite sure about this....nor am i willing to test this in reality B) ......(note : spectrum for instance puts a "master warning / caution " - note on this NEVER to do so (charging TX while starting the car) , because damage can/will be done to the connected TX!) cheers tom
