Excuse my english, hope you understand what I say
I fly a GAUI X7, 5,5kg flying weight and only use the Vbar governor and self wound motors (in this case a HK-4530)
The first setup in the X7 was with an YGE 120HV and it had big problems with running cool: a bit of tictocs and it went into thermal shutdown, it simply got hot too fast.
Then I switched to an YGE 160HV (without the cooling plate). Very good, but still has a tendency to get hot when pushed hard. With the Vbar bailout I never got consistent recoveries, it always varied a bit, so not very reliable for critical saves close to the ground. Unfortunately the YGE160Hv went up in smoke in a crash where I was late to hit throttle hold. Never though that could happen with YGE, but it did. Cause of the crash was something in the Spektrum system (DX-18). Never found out what it was.
Then came the DS-16 and MEZON 135rpm. This setup is a dream: Bailout recovery times are very consistent, it handles power just like the YGE 160Hv and runs less hot. However I do have a small 30mm fan attached to the esc, because in summer I would get thermal warnings when pushed hard, but no shutdowns.
We also have two other X7's flying here, so 3 in total: all with MEZON 135rpm and Vbar governor and ZERO problems. Very reliable setup!
Just an example of how I fly, this is with the YGE 160HV, but the Mezon performs exactly the same:
